Jon Voight

Jon Voight is an American actor. He first gained recognition by starring in the 1969 film Midnight Cowboy, for which he won the Golden Globe for new star of the year. He won the Academy Award for Best Actor and the Golden Globe for best actor in a motion picture - drama for his performance in the 1978 film Coming Home. Voight is also known for performances in films like 1972's Deliverance, 1979's The Champ, 1985's Runaway Train (for which he won the Golden Globe for best actor in a motion picture - drama), 1995's Heat, 1996's Mission: Impossible, 1997's The Rainmaker, 1997's Anaconda, 1999's Varsity Blues, 2001's Zoolander, 2004's National Treasure, 2007's Transformers and 2016's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. He also gained recognition for his role on the television series Ray Donovan (2013-2020), which earned him a Golden Globe for best supporting actor in a series, miniseries, or television film. He is also known for being the father of actress Angelina Jolie, with whom he co-starred with in the 1982 film Lookin' to Get Out and the 2001 film Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.
